Update for national First Aid units

Emphasis on Practical Skills

Australian First Aid has been actively pursuing a stronger emphasis on demonstration of practical skills in the national competencies. In an emergency, the most effective first aider will be the one who has practised the skills required. Changes have also been needed to accord with current ARC Guidelines.

Following a period of broad consultation, the updated units are due to be published by the Community Services and Health ISC in the first half of 2012.
