Course Outcome:
This module will provide participants with the skills and knowledge to safely perform oxygen therapy and resuscitation in the workplace.

Entry Requirements:
Current Workplace First Aid - 'Senior First Aid' certificate, or equivalent.

Course Outcome:
This module will provide participants with the skills and knowledge to understand the safety requirements when handling an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), as well as the skills to use an AED within the first minutes after a cardiac arrest

Nil However it is recommended that participants have literacy competencies equivalent to Level 2 as described in the Certificates of General Education for Adults (2112AFL, 2212AKC, 2212ALC)

Course Outcome:
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. This unit incorporates the content of units HLTCPR201A Perform CPR and HLTFA201A Provide basic emergency life support.

Entry Requirements:
Nil However it is recommended that participants have literacy competencies equivalent to Level 2 as described in the Certificates of General Education for Adults (2112AFL, 2212AKC, 2212ALC)

Please complete the enrolment form and hand it to the trainer at the commencement of the course or by using the Online Enrolment form.

Nominal Duration:
14 hours. For workbook & online theory, the face to face component is 6 x 1 Hour Modules.

Course Outcome:
This unit deals with the provision of advanced first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. This unit also addresses the establishment and maintenance of facilities to enable or facilitate the provision of appropriate first aid in the workplace.  This unit also incorporates the content of HLTFA404A Apply advanced resuscitation techniques.

Entry Requirements:
To undertake a course in Occupational First Aid there is a prerequisite that participants Must hold a current Workplace First Aid (Senior First Aid) certificate or equivalent.

HLTFA302A - Provide First Aid in Remote Situation

Course Outcome:    

This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid to a casualty in a remote or isolated area.  It is appropriate for those undertaking work or travel in remote/isolated situations.

Entry Requirements:   
This unit has a pre-/co-requisite of HLTFA301B Apply First Aid, which must be completed either prior to commencement of the course, or completed in conjunction with it.
